It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

"It's Not Over Yet"
Happy “Self-Love” Tuesday – Sisters, how are you feeling today? Here on the Eastern Shore, it’s a little cloudy; rain is own its way. This week, I have dedicated it, to getting fit and healthy. Has anyone started yet? Although we know that this should be an ongoing process, sometimes, we just need a reminder. Plus, I wanted to drop this thought/ action in your spirit, so that you and I, both, can start working towards our goal(s). However, I have a confession (sigh…lol). I have not taken one step of walking anywhere yet, and, I ate banana pudding today. I know what you are thinking, how are you going tell us what to do, and you yourself, haven’t done anything yet? Well, here is my answer to that; the week is not over yet. But if I was being graded on that, I would have failed by now, especially after eating that banana pudding. But can I tell y'all something about that banana pudding, it is the BOMB!!! Anyways, getting back self-love Tuesday, but I just had to get that out. This morning as I prepared for work, I got to thinking about health issues within our families, and what is it that we can do, to not repeat some of the same habits. We have to love ourselves enough to educate and to change some of these cycles that have been plaguing our love ones for years, and the only way we can do that, is by starting with ourselves and then passing that education on to others. As I traveled down the highway, I realized that this thing is much bigger than just losing a few pounds. Being healthy, and fit, is a mind set. When we go to the gym, when we run, or whatever it is we do for exercise, we must remind ourselves, that this is good for me and my well being. It’s also good for the people who are connected to us, and who rely on us. So, I hope this post today, will give you something to think about. And if you ate your donut today, or your muffin that was not fat free, remember, the week isn’t over yet. Still stick to the plan, and when you have accomplished your goal, please share with the rest of your sisters who is fighting this same battle. Have a great evening sisters, and “KEEP HEALTH AND FITNESS ALIVE” (in my Jesse Jackson voice). Peace & Love…
