DGWOS is a blog that mirrors the scripture: "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17). It is designed to create substance in one's character, as well as confidence. This page after you have viewed it will leave you understanding your value (a diamond) and your diamond's qualities (exquisite). Discover the Diamond in you ladies. Welcome.....
"Welcome Beautiful Ones"
DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

"It's Self Love Day-Congratulate & Celebrate Yourself"
Happy Tuesday - Congratulations is often a word used when someone has accomplished something and/or moved on to bigger and better things. But today, whether you have accomplished something major or not, I want you to congratulate and celebrate yourself, and this is why. If you are a single mother, and you and your child(ren) are doing well, congratulate yourself. If you had a baby out of wedlock, and still completed high school and went to college, that needs to be celebrated. If you have recently survived a bad relationship and/or divorce, but still have the courage to open your heart and love again, congratulate yourself. If you have accomplished at least one of your dreams, celebrate that. And last but not least, if you are just glad that you're living, have the activities of your limbs, and are in your right mind, that is something to be celebrated. Truthfully, the list could go on and on, but I just wanted to pull out the small, simple things, that people may have a tendency to overlook. You see, congratulations and celebration doesn't just have to come for big things, nor does it have to come from people, all the time. Sometimes, you have to celebrate and congratulate yourself by yourself; people should only join in after you have already done it for yourself. Don't get me wrong, you are worth every accolade that you receive, but just in case it doesn't come from the person(s) you want it to come from, take delight in knowing, that you have already told yourself. Go head girl, and strutt your stuff...and oh by the way, Congratulations for being you!!!
