"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"What's Your Story"

Happy Friday - Have you ever had people to stare at you, and think that you think, that you are more than who you are, based upon where you are at now, in your life. The sad thing is, you don't think no where near of who they think you are; it's the farthest thing from your mind. When people do that, you know what they are doing; they are prejudging you. If it's one thing that get's my goat, is people prejudging people. Everyone of us has a story to tell, including the ones prejuding. As I matured, and began to meet people from all walks of life, I realized that so many of us share similar situations, regardless of our backgrounds, status, ethnicity, or religion. When it comes to life's trials and tribulations, there are no boundaries; life hits us all, thus giving us no reason to judge anyone. I believe the moment you judge, take heed, that something is coming down the pike for you. Because that is just the way life is; we're not exempt from it. We all have experienced love, heartache, joy, sadness, death and life. So why do we feel the need to tear each down with all of our preconceived thoughts. Isn't it easier, to just ask someone about themselves, rather than assume you know something about them. I guarantee, when you sit down and begin to talk to them, you will find out, that they are not that much more different from you. Now I am not blind to the fact, that some people will never want to know who you are, because of the way they feel about themselves, and that's okay, as long as you know who you are, and where you have come from. As a little girl, I remember the saints in church singing, "we've come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord". That's your story today, you've come far, and it's only the grace of God that continues to keep you. Some people will get your story, and some won't, but as long as you know, it doesn't matter what they think. Enjoy weekend!!!
