DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

"Camouflage"
Happy Saturday - Camouflage as most of us know, is used for military purposes; survival and protection. But as I looked deeper into it, camouflage among women is used on a whole different level. We (women) camouflage, to hide things that we hold deep in our heart; envy, jealousy, bitterness, pettyiness, spitefulness and unforgiveness. We think, if we are built like a brickhouse, dress nice, smell good, and smile and grin real hard, that no one can see us for who we really are. But I beg the differ; no matter how much we try to hide, the real us, will come out. It will come out in our mannerism, in the way we talk, and by the way we think (i.e never have anything nice to say about another sister, or can't compliment or celebrate someone, unless it's about us). And for the ones who have really seen the real us, they are left feeling betrayed and confused about our behavior, because we showed them something fake in the beginning. I think what we forget, is that eventually, troops take off there camouflage gear, and we get to see the real person underneath, whereas we wear ours, constantly, until change takes place. So, as we relax and spend our quiet time with ourselves, let's evaluate to see if we camouflage for protection from things and people that our hazardous to our well being, or do we camouflage to cover up what we don't want people to know about us, for real. Sisters we have God-given influential power, don't use that power to abuse, use it to build. Peace & Love...
