"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Transition: Enjoy the Journey"

Happy Thursday – Today, as beautiful as it was, was one of those days; our office is in transition. Do you ever have days like that sometimes? Surprisingly though, the word transition, is what I want to discuss today. When you think of the word transition, you think of change, movement, or process; something having to do with moving out of, or into. So many people that I have encountered recently, are in the midst of change, whether it’s moving from one state to another, taking on a new position, or changing some things about themselves, either way, it is some form of shifting or moving, from out of what they know to be normal. For some, transition can be chaotic and overwhelming, as well as exciting. The chaos and overwhelming feelings come in, because we are making some decisions that are pulling us out of our comfort zone or complacency, of the thing or things, that we are very capable, and sure of doing. But on the flip side of that, the thought of doing something new, moving somewhere different, or creating a new look for ourselves, is what makes it exciting. Plus we know, somewhere in the back of our mind, that once we really make the final say so to do something different, and start that process, that everything will be alright. But making the final say so, to get to the alright part, is where we find ourselves, in a state of transit. So the question is, how do we deal with this, without freaking out? Well, we take one step at a time. When we try to hurry through transition, that’s where we find ourselves crazy out of our heads, but if we take one day at a time, and one step at a time, and just do what is needed for that day, before we know it, we will be to the destination that we have been trying to get to all along. Therefore ladies, take your time, enjoy the view of your transitioning journey, and when you get to the other side of it, celebrate like nobody’s business. Peace & Love…
