"Welcome Beautiful Ones"
DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

"Stop"
Happy “Self-Love” Tuesday – I woke up this morning thinking of something to share today, and the only thing that kept coming to my mind was, “pause, and give your self some love today”. Yep, I’m back on that kick again, because if you haven’t noticed, we’re right back (it doesn’t take long) in the thick of things again; taking care of everyone else’s needs, and once again, forgetting our own. But I’m saying today, stop, and pause, and make it about you, even if it’s only for a few moments. Just for a few moments, put everybody on hold, and go and get you a cup of coffee or tea or whatever beverage you prefer, and find a secluded corner, and just relax, your mind, body and spirit. If your cell phone rings, hit the ignore button (that’s a beautiful button sometimes); unless it’s the children (and even sometimes you have to put them on hold) or the Publishing Clearing House with your 10 million dollar check (lol) call them back, after your moment is over. Before rushing off to grab the children, think about what you’re going to have for dinner, pick the clothes up from the dry cleaners, etc, stop. Instead of running out the office door, take your time, and walk out; if you don’t catch the dry cleaners today, it will be alright; wear something you already have in the closet. When you enter into the market, don’t fly down the aisles like the Tasmanian devil; take your time, and pick out something quick, but nutritious for your family, and instead of cooking it all by yourself, have them to join in with you. What are you trying to say Cook? I’m saying, "JUST STOP FOR A MINUTE" and gather “your” thoughts. We will miss so much, doing so much. My mother had a saying, “you are busy doing nothing.” I use to laugh at that statement, but as I got older, I understood what she meant. So, take a minute for you, and stop being so busy taking care of the affairs of everyone’s needs. Stop, and love you today. That’s it sis go for what you know; you deserve all the love that you give yourself today. Peace & Love…
