"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"I Won't Complain"

Happy “Motivational” Monday – Welcome back, to our favorite day; I hope everyone had a great weekend. To my sisters who held it down this weekend, enjoy your day of rest, on this rainy afternoon. For the first time, since I started this blog, I don’t think I’ve ever missed a day of writing, but this weekend, my body told me to rest; and I obeyed it. It be like that sometimes. I don’t know if what I have to share with you today is motivational, as much as it more inspirational. Today, as I walking from the parking lot heading into my place of employment, I saw something that I see occasionally, but today, for some reason, I paid special attention to it. At every place of employment, you have "special needs" persons who come to work. But what hit me today was, although we find time to complain about trivial things about our place employment, at least, we have full mobility and capability to do our jobs without complications. If you think about it, we don’t have the following issues: someone helping us from a car to a wheel chair, and then wheeling us in to work; we don’t have someone who has to help us to the bathroom, when we need to go, and we don’t have anyone, who has to help us to eat, when it’s our time for lunch. As I got closer to my “special needs” co-workers, I noticed something – they were saying good morning and smiling, like they were the happiest people in the world; and as far as I was concerned, they were; their energy and enthusiasm, perked me up better than my cup of extra caffeine coffee, from WaWa’s, did. I politely greeted them all by name, and smiled back. But as I headed towards the elevator, I said to myself, and why do I complain again about trivial things? I don’t know; but seeing them today, whom I see every day riding along in the halls, reminded me once again, how blessed we are, not that they aren’t too, but it opened my eyes, on how we should never take the small, simple things, like walking, seeing, hearing, breathing, and yes, working at that job that we find so much to complain about, for granted. This may not motivate you or maybe it will, depending on how you receive it, but prayerfully, it will give you something to think about today. Peace & Love sisters..
