"Welcome Beautiful Ones"
DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.
Peace and Love....

"Do Your Thing Girl"
TGIF Ladies – Yeah!!!! We made it …we made it through to the end of another week. The sun is shinning, the weather is nice, and it’s the weekend; who can ask for anything better. Thank you God. Did anyone get a chance to walk on their lunch today? If not, maybe after work, you can take advantage of the sunshine, and enjoy you a nice long walk. As I was riding down the highway this morning, I couldn’t help but to think about what I use to do on these kinds of days, when I lived in Philadelphia. I worked at the University of Pennsylvania, and if you knew anything about that campus, you knew that it was huge. I remember on my lunch, sometimes, I would grab a fruit salad from one of the many food carts, and then I would walk through the campus until I found a nice place to sit and eat it. And then after that, I would walk up and down Walnut Street, and window shop. Whatever I did, I got some form of exercise. So that’s my sentiments to you. Even if you don’t have a campus to walk through, still buy yourself some fruit, as a means of a new eating habit. And even if you don’t buy a thing, walk through that mall, or area, that has stores, to get your exercise. [Side bar: Can I tell you what I know to be funny about us; when it comes to looking for a new outfit, and/or a pair of shoes, we will walk until we can’t walk any more, to find what pleases our taste. Some of you are laughing right now, because you know it is the truth…lol. If we did that on a daily basis, just think of how healthy and fit we would be. Okay, I’m back.] I pray that this week that we have dedicated to health and fitness, has sparked something in you; I know it has for me; and that you will continue on next week, the week after, and so on, until you accomplish the goal that you had set out. Have a prosperous and healthy weekend. Alright now, I can see a new you, emerging. Do your thing girl.
