"Courage"
Happy Thursday - Ladies, did you get a chance to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather today; it was absolutely gorgeous? Although it was a little crazy at work today, overall, it still turned out good. However, I'm so grateful to be home. As my timing got off track today, I didn't get a chance to have my quiet time, the way I wanted to, but the Lord still dropped something in my spirit - courage. What does that word mean to you? When I think of it, I think of strength, bravery, and nerve, because in order to do courageous things, you must possess those qualities. Now some might say, "I'm not courageous or brave," but I beg the differ. You are, but you just don't know it yet. But if you keep dealing with this thing called life, you will find that you have more than what you think you have. As we continue to reflect this week, I thought about the courage that Christ had when He was being led out to be crucified. Can you imagine what was going through His mind: I've never done anything but good for these people, but yet and still, they want to destroy me. Wow. What does that have to do with me, you might ask? It is this, there are going to be times in our lives where we have to face things that are going to shake our very core, if it hasn't already. But how you or I face it, will show just how courageous, how strong, and how brave we are. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you think you don't have the strength to handle it, or the courage to face it, think about His life. Think about how He stood in front of His accusers who took pleasure in scorning Him in words and in gestures, who smacked and spit on Him, and who hated Him with a fervent hate. Sometimes, someone just talking about us, makes us coward back. But He stood, and He took it, so that we don't have to. He took it, so that we could stand boldly and valiantly. Sisters, we all will have to face a lot of different challenges in life, but just when you feel like you don't have the strength or courage to handle them any more, think about His life, and draw off of that. I said it yesterday, you/we/I can do all things through Him that strengthens us. So, do you think you possess courage, I will answer for you...YES YOU DO!!!! Peace & Love....
