"Welcome Beautiful Ones"
DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

"Salute Your Good Sistah Girls"
Happy Friday Ladies - Woohoo, is all I can say; we made it through another work week. What's your plans? Here is a little something that came to my mind today. This morning, as I was moving about, I thought about the importance of girlfriends, or as I like to call them "good sistah girls". They are far and few, and they are like precious gems. These are the ones you can relax with on a Friday evening, after a long week at the office. The ones that you vent to when feeling overwhelmed, when the children and your man are getting on your nerves, and when you are feeling scared about something. But on the flip side of that, they are also the ones, who will call you and tell you about the shoe sale that Macy's is having, the new color lipsticks that MAC or whatever it is you guys wear has come out, and the ones that will celebrate, and cry with you, when need to. They are the ones who are there through thick and thin. Thank you Lord. So today, as you go about your daily routine, don't forget to call up that good girlfriend(s) and let her know how important she is to you, and perhaps set up some time this evening or weekend, to have dinner with her, or have a good coversation at a Coffee House, or sit somewhere in a spot, and enjoy some live band music. Whatever you do, tell you good girlfriend that you salute her today, and that you are glad that she is a part of your life. Because if the truth be told, if it wasn't for those kind of friends, we would be acting a fool, and tearing stuff up. Start your weekend off right ladies, by chilling with the sister(s) who takes part in helping you to stay sane. "Good Sistah Girls", we salute you today. Peace & Love....
