"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"I'm Free"

Happy Self-Love Tuesday – How is everyone feeling today? I pray all is well. You know all this week, I have set this time aside to meditate, and to reflect on, what Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection means to you and me. Have you started reflecting yet? This morning, as I was walking to my car, I thought about this word today – freedom. Sunday morning my Pastor came from the scripture, John 8:32 (read it when you get a chance); she spoke on about knowing how important the truth is, and that when you know it, things or situations can no longer hold you bound. And if I may, I want to add this piece to it: I don’t care what your past has been like or how many mistakes you have made, and I surely don’t care who says what about you, because the truth of the matter is, that Christ died that you might be set free from the shame of your past, mistakes, and from the opinions and thoughts of man. He created you for a purpose, and no past, no mistake, or an opinion, can stop you from completing it. That’s why I love the scripture, If God be for you, He’s more than the world (and that includes anything and anybody) against you (Romans 8:31). Therefore sisters, hold your head up, because it’s not over. It ain’t over, until God says it’s over. You are free!! You no longer have to live under the ridicule and mockery that people, that life, or the enemy, who will play mind tricks on you, try to keep you under. Ooh child, I’m getting excited for you/us, just thinking about it. Check this out: one of the things about freedom, is that it allows you to be able to live as you please without restriction and restraints, and it releases you from any form of captivity (i.e., mental, emotional, verbal, and, as quiet as it’s kept, physical). But just to clarify that statement, and to leave you with no excuse for irrational behavior, I’m not saying, go out and act a fool and destroy yourself, as well as others with this freedom, because that was never His intent for your life. But what I am saying, is that He died so that you don’t have to live your life feeling bound or constricted. Listen, He doesn’t want any of us, male or female, to be tied to anything that will keep us from reaching for what we want in this abundant life that He has provided for us. So in closing, start stripping away anything that is trying to keep you bound; you really don’t have to carry it. You are a free sister. Go on sis, walk with authority in your liberation, because He died that you might be able to. Peace & Love....
