"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Step Up Your Confidence"

Happy Tuesday Evening Ladies - Are you finally getting settled into this New Year? Have you made any changes yet? I'm not saying it has to be anything major, but at least a change of something...even if it's just a change of mind; at least it's something. And truthfully, that's where the change should begin. Once it changes there (in your mind), then you are well on your way to bringing whatever it is you want, into fruition.

As we continue to get settled in this year, the word confidence has been floating around in my spirit. I questioned why that word, as I have posted something on it before, and then it hit me: in order to achieve what it is you want to do this year, you have to have confidence. You have to have the belief, the tenacity, the spunk, and the determination (all the things that confidence symbolize), to see it through. Not just in this year, but in whatever you choose to do in life.

Confidence has to be there when no one doesn't believe in your dream, when people try to tear you down and undermine your ability, when your naysayers laugh at your mishaps and failures, and even when you, yourself, don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I mean you know it's there, and you know in the end, everything is going to work out, but depending on how stressful the situation you are facing, just at that moment, you may lose a smidget of it (confidence). Confidence has to come across when you step into a room, when you talk, in your body language. And so what, if you don't look like everyone else. Look like you, and be confident in that.

Ladies, you have what it takes to do the things that you want to do - God has already placed in you, the question is, do you belief in yourself enough to walk in it. And if you don't at first, it's okay; we all have to find our way. But until you find it, keep yourself surrounded by people who exude it, and when it's time, "step-up your confidence."

I love with a sisterly love - have a great rest of the evening.

Peace & Love...
