"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

A Day With Sistahs United on the Eastern Shore Book Club

A special thank you to Sistahs United on the Eastern Shore Book Club (http://www.suesbookclub.webs.com/) for selecting Reflections66 as their book of the month. I couldn't have asked for a better way to kick of the new year. To me it was the icing on the cake, because just this time last year, I was celebrating the release of it - January 9, 2010. At this gathering, I made the announcement of my upcoming sophmore book; to be released in May of this year. But I want to give a special thank you to Lori Morris - this sister keeps me informed on everything that pertains to Authorship. You are the best Lori.

I'm going to close on this note: The other day I was reflecting back on how I feel about this whole thing of being an Author; all I knew was that I loved to write - been doing it since Junior High School. But stepping into a role of Authorship, was something I never phatomed in my mind. Heck, it just took me until the end of November to accept the fact that I was one. I even struggled with saying the words, "I'm an Author."

From the beginning of this process up until now, the only thing that that I wanted to do, was write a book. So now, one year later, I am working on my second - incredible.

Peace & Love....
