"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Reflections2010"

Happy New Years Beauty Ones - First and foremost, let me start off by giving God praise for bringing us through another year - that alone should make you stop whatever you are doing for a few moments and find a quiet place to tell Him thank you. Thank Him for the grace and mercy that He bestowed upon us all year so that we could live to see this moment, this second, this evening. Year 2010 was a year that when it started, we had no clue what it entailed. All we knew was that it was a year for us to start with a clean slate; a year for us to make a change. And despite the fact that we had to deal with disappointments, failures, heartaches, and loss; still excited, we went into 2010 with eager hearts, and with creative and innovative ideas of how we were going to do better than we did the year before - yeah!! But like with anything, we start off with good intentions, and then, reality hits, and before you know it, we fall back into our same routine - but thank God for another chance.

Now if I must say from my own take of 2010; it has been an incredible year, inspite all of its ups and downs. I met new people, formed new relationships, gained a great niece, and most recently my son became engaged. But what has truly been the highlight of 2010 for me, was the publishing of my first book (Reflections66 - January 9, 2010) - I can became an Author (wow). Then I became the creator of Diamond Girls: Women of Substance (January 2010) - a blog created to empower and strengthen women of any age, and last but not least, something that has been my passion long before coming an Author, I became an Entrepreneur (Exquisite Diamonds - October 2010); things that I thought only "other" people could do. Let me say it again...WOW!!! But see, that's the beauty of a new year, it gives you a chance to do something new; something you never thought in your wildest dreams you could do.

So as we inch closer to 12 midnight, and as this year comes to a close, let us thank God for the change that is about to take place. I'm excited, because I can feel newness down in my soul, like nobody's business. I see new friendships being formed, new (love) relationships happening. I see people breaking free of people and things that have been detritmental to their well being, and picking up things and friends that will make them stronger beings. I see blessings being bestowed upon people. I hear laughs; I hear joy, I see love. I see peace; I see the weak becoming strong. I see a new things happening.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY - We made it to 2011!!!!
