"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"What's My Motivation"

Good Monday Morning – Here we are again, back to the beginning of a work week. I pray all of you had a safe and restful weekend. To the weekend workers, enjoy your day off today. All across the East Coast, it is raining, and I know you were thinking, after hitting the alarm clock for the third time, what is my motivation for today? Well, life; life is the motivation for today. Life is something that should be a motivator and celebrated everyday, but every now and then, you need a reminder of why it should be. If you woke up this morning and were able to move your limbs, plus see and hear the rain, despite the dreariness of it, then that is your motivation; because there are those, who can’t see, nor hear the weather, and are in extreme pain when moving any part of their body. If your child(ren) said good morning to you, and were alert and doing well, that is your motivation. Remember some can’t even bear children, and are spending thousands of dollars to try and have at least one child. If you have a job, even though it can get monotonous from time to time, that is your motivation. Think about all of those who have lost their jobs and can’t support their families, and have to take jobs that they don’t want, in order to make ends meet. You see, motivation doesn’t always have to come in big measures, sometimes it’s the every day simplicities that help us to get it together. So, the next time you feel like what is your motivation as you lay in that bed five minutes longer than usual on a Monday morning, think about the life you have, and think about those who would love to be in your shoes, and get to moving. And as you pass by others this morning who look like they need some too (motivation), give them the same speech you just gave yourself. Peace & Love….
