"Our True Definition"

Happy Self-Love Tuesday – Although I call Tuesdays, self love day, please know, self-love, should be practiced every day. However, I just chose Tuesdays as a day to point out certain facets of this thing we call self love. Last week, I talked about what kind of substance people are made out of, and if I may, I would still like to piggy back off of that, with, what “defines” us. Think it about it, what really defines us? Is it the things that we possess, is it people’s opinions of us, is it our beauty, our intelligence, or is it our past. Each morning when we stare into the mirror at ourselves in the raw state that we are in before the makeup or whatever it is we do before we present ourselves to others, do we really know, what our true definition of ourselves is? For most of us, if we are honest, we have allowed people to define us by their limited thinking of themselves. I wonder who gave them that right to do that about us – nobody. They made up in their own minds to take on that task, all by themselves. But we/you, have the power to show them the real deal, by knowing the answer to the question. What defines you/us, is our character; our ability to treat people right, even when we know they are trying to kill us, defines us, how we conduct ourselves around others, meaning, not being harsh or abrasive, to the point we are offensive, defines us; no one wants to be labeled as being rude, and finally, how we handle setbacks and disappointments, defines us; rising above every negative thing that has happened to us, speaks degrees of how we maneuver under pressure. So you see, in the end, how we handle “our” business, sets the definition of our lives; not our things, not our intelligence, not our past, as we all have one, and surely not the opinions of man, can define who we are; we, and only we, have the keys to who we truly are.
