"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Why Doesn't She Like Me"

Happy Thursday - Jealousy among sisters, is so common, and what for; there's really no need if you think about it. God has given each one of us a talent and a gift. Now what you choose to do with your talent and gift, and what they choose to do with their's, is out of each one's own volition. Where jealousy comes in a lot of times, I believe, is because of one's insecurity or view of self image. We feel as though it (self-image) doesn't measure up with the one whom we think, has it going on. Sis, you got it going on too, but you have just failed to recognize what you possess, that's all. The same opportunity that they have, so do you. People always try to use the excuse, well her life wasn't like mine. But the truth be told, you don't know what her life was like either, you just assume, by what you see now, that she has it all together. Do yourself a favor, stop prejudging, and start tapping into the greatness that God has instilled in you. And the second you do that, you will no longer have to feel insecure or jealous about someone else's successes or accomplisments, because you too, possess the same quality. "Do you boo."
