"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"No Longer the Same"

Happy Sunday - Good afternoon sisters. I pray you all had a wonderful day today where ever you spent it. This morning as I was lying in bed, I heard a preacher (Bishop TD Jakes) say, "once you have fought in a major battle, when you come out of it, you are no longer the same." Now the battles that he named were many: health, finances, despair, depression, loss, etc. And I got to thinking about some of my own personal battles, and if you will, start thinking about some of the ones you have come through. I'm going to give you a few minutes. See, you are feeling aren't you, you are feeling the same thing that I am, tremendous joy. The fact that you came out of it, in your right mind, and with another lease on life, another opportunity to live, it makes you want to holler. His message was so good, until right there in my bed, I began to give God praise. I don't know about you, but in my 44 years of living, I have been through some major battles. And not only did I come out of them, but I came out with some battle wounds that reminded me, that I am an overcomer. How about you, are you an overcomer? I think you are. So every now and then when a battle comes your way, don't run from it, ask God for the strength and courage to get through it, because trust me, when you come out, you will no longer be the same. Sisters, put your war face on, get your battle song going, and with the backing of the Lord, fight your battle. Peace and Love....
