"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Slow Down, Breathe, and Relax - School is Out"

Happy "Motivational" Monday - How was every one's weekend? Did you get a chance to get out in that gorgeous warm weather, despite the fact that it was hot and sticky. Did you find a pool or beach? Well I found the beach, but I didn't get in; I just enjoyed the time of walking on the boardwalk, and sitting on a bench to people watch. To all of my sisters who worked this weekend, I hope you had a great day, chilling out. I thought about what the motivation for today was, and it is this - relaxation. It is time to relax - school is almost out, or for some, out already; which means, at least for two months, no running to practices, games, or any other school activities, that our children had us doing while school was in session. I hate to admit it, but when they are in school, it's just like we are too. Now, you get a chance to relax. Instead of rushing down the highway because someone has a soccer game, you can now cruise, with your sunroof open, listening to music that you like, to put you in an after work, relax mode. Maybe now, you'll have a chance to stop to that new store you've been wanting to get to. As parents, we are constantly rushing; so while our children are out of school, just like they enjoy their summer break, you in turn begin to enjoy your time as well. That's right, slow down, breathe, and relax. Let's practice that over the next month or so, because you deserve a break too. Peace & Love...
