DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.

"She Is My Joy"

Happy Monday - Ladies, how are you? Did you have a great weekend. To my sisters who held it down in this heat, I hope you are in some air somewhere chilling. I hope you guys didn't think I forget you - never that; I care about your well being too much. But if you remember, I shared that my grand-daughter was coming home. What a busy weekend. She is my joy. Matter fact, she is my motivation. Spending time, and seeing her face this weekend as she frolicked in pool, just warmed my heart. I don't know how many of you who have visited this site are grandparents, but if you are, isn't that the greatest feeling, and then the best part of that, is that you get to give them back. I love her, but after a while, she was starting to wear me out (lol). Ladies, I love you with a genuine love, but tonight, your girl is tired. Tomorrow, we will be back on track. But just to let you know, this week is Father's Day Weekend; if you have a shout out you want to give to a special man in your life this week, whether it be a husband, brother, son, uncle, father, boyfriend, or any positive brother that you think deserves a special accolade, feel free to leave a note. Have a restful night. Peace & Love...

An Exquisite Movement

Tonight I want to share an Exquiste movement with one of my sisters, an Exquisite Diamond in her own right. Mrs. Jackie Seldon hosted a fundraiser that I had the pleasure of attending, Labor of Love for the Eastern Shore Teenage Pregnancy Center. A center that reaches out through arms of love to young teenage mothers. Mrs. Seldon is a woman who opens her heart to give to these young women. Not only does she open her heart, but she makes sure through generous contributions of others, that these young women have all that they need. Mrs. Seldon, you have begun a movement that is incredible and imperative for these young women. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your organization.

"An Exquisite Diamonds Conference"

Ladies, are you ready to "Discover the Diamond in You?" Then grab your good girlfriends, your daughters, your aunties, and anyone else that is ready for something new, and hey, if you want to bring some brothers too; we will not count them out either. This conference is not going to be your normal fellowship that we are so commonly use to having, but I'm talking about a sisterly bond. A bond that will cross barriers, and an impaction on each others lives that we will never forget. At this conference, we are going to rid the stereotypes that as women we cannot get along, that we are jealous of each other, that we are competitive, that we have to tear each other down in order to make ourselves feel important. Nahhh,...those things, and those behaviors, cannot dwell in an Exquisite Diamond.

So come join us on Saturday, July 30th at Salisbury University in the Commons Bldg in Salisbury, Maryland here on the Eastern Shore from 1-4pm, for an afternoon of inspiration, motivation, transformation, and sisterly affection. Our speakers will inspire you about who you are as Diamonds, what you possess as a Diamonds, and what your value is - Exquisite.

Vendors will be on hand to network, and share their information about their businesses.

It's time for change...it's time for us to love one another the way the Father has commanded, it's time for us to Discover the Diamond/the Value that lies within us. No longer will be our sister's demise, but we will be Our Sister's Keeper, and together we will shine like Diamonds.
