"Impart Wisdom"
Happy Motivational Monday - Ladies, I pray you all had a wonderful weekend with your special men, as we celebrated Father's Day Weekend. To my sisters who have to play the role of both mother and father, I salute you, and to my sisters who held it down this weekend, may you enjoy your time of rest. Today, was an exciting day for our family. Today, my niece delivered her baby girl; what a beautiful thing she is. As we all oohed and awwed, I got to thinking, about how precious it is to see a new life being born. The innocence of that child, is something, I believe, at times, we wish we could all go back to. As I sat and watched every ones' face expression, I said to myself, I'm feeling motivated to do something. What is it, you might ask? It is this - I am motivated to take all the lessons that I have learned as a young parent, and imparting them into my niece. Then my prayer for my niece will be, that she in turns, do the same thing for her daughter. I am motivated to be a mentor to my niece, and my great niece, as she walks out this thing called motherhood. Sisters, how many of us remember being a young mother and scared. Part of us thought we were grown because we had done a grown-up thing (having a baby), and part of us was scared to pieces, because there were times when we didn't know what to do when that baby cried uncontrollably. But looking at her today, I felt motivated to help her along this journey. Here a question for you: when you see a young mother, who you know don't know; does it motivate you to help her (if she allows you to), or do you just say to yourself; awe, she'll be alright. Will she? In closing, think about a young mother that you can help; you remember the proverb: "It takes a village to raise a child." Sisters, we are the wise villagers, that they need. Matter of fact, they need us more than they themselves know. Therefore, let's get motivated to share and help them. Peace & Love...
