Happy Monday - Hey sisters, I pray you all had a wonderful weekend, doing what you wanted to do; I opted to rest. For my sisters who held it down to provide for their families, much love to you; enjoy your time of solitude. In case anyone has forgotten, I am dedicating this week to Stroke Awareness, as May is the month for that. Working in the healthcare field, I have the opportunity to see a host of health care issues. Therefore, each month, I feel as though it is important to update you, or make you aware of symptoms, or preventative measures, that may save our lives. And if any of you have things, that you want to bring awareness to, feel free to do so.
Leading Causes to a Stroke:
- A family history of strokes
- Cigarette smoking
- Heart attacks or TIAs (transient ischemic attacks)
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
These are just a few causes that may affect us all in some area of our lives; out of five of them, I have to confess, that I am guilty of two. Which one(s) of them describes you? Which ever one does, just know, that we have work to do concerning our well being. Ladies, we are our sister's keepers, therefore, make your sister aware of how important she is to you, and how important her health is. I pray you have a peaceful night. Peace & Love...
