"Welcome Beautiful Ones"

DGWOS is not a page where we bash, hate, use foul language, or tear down one's character through jealousy and envy. It is a page designed to inspire, to celebrate, to encourage and to promote self-love. This page wants to catapult you into a stronger and better you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Throughout the month, seasoned "Women of Substance" will share their experiences and thoughts to remind you that you are the diamond that God has intended for you to be. Please note: we are not psychiatrists or psychologists, nor do we profess to be perfect; but what we are, are women, mothers and grandmothers, who have been through the trials and errors of life and now want to help guide you through the same, if you choose to accept our views as you travel on this same wonderful journey called life. As a follower we only have two requests: 1) you share this blog with others and 2) strive every day to be the best you, you can be.
Ladies, let this blog be the reflection of what true, exquisite diamonds look like.

Peace and Love....

"Thankfulness: An Instant Motivator"

Happy Motivational Monday – Hey ladies, the last time we met at this day, it was raining, and so here we are, back again, at the beginning of a new work week, on another rainy Monday. Did you find it hard to roll out that bed this morning? I know I did. To all my sisters, who held it down over the weekend – I’m jealous if you are still resting (LOL!!!). No, I’m just kidding – enjoy your day ladies, you deserve it. So as I stared out the window this morning looking out at the cloudy sky and rain, I started thinking again, “Lord, what is my motivation for today,” and this is what came to me – being as though this is the week that leads up to Easter Sunday, our motivation for today, and for the rest of the week, should be thankfulness. Every day that we wake up this week (of course we should do this every day, but I’m really focusing in on this week), we should think of something that the Lord has done for us, and give thanks. Thank Him for the fact that despite the rain, you were able to get up anyway. Thank Him for all the times that He stepped in and shielded you from situations that could have been so much more, worse. Thank Him, that He got you to work safely on this rainy day, because you know, no matter what the weather is, you have some people who are just going to drive like a maniac regardless, and cause danger to so many people (i.e. accidents). Are you starting to feel the motivation, as you think about His goodness? I know I am. See, just thinking on His goodness is an instant motivator to make you move, to sing, and to praise. I see you getting it together, go on girl, and work it out today, as you give “your” Lord, praise and thanksgiving. Have a great day ladies. Peace and Love….
